Baby Talk

Since we're having a baby...get ready for a lot of post about the baby. I figured I should go ahead and warn you. But the point of this blog was to keep the family that we do not get to see everyday up to date on what's going on with our lives...so I guess baby stories fall in that category.

For those who don't know, I am fortunate to get to work with my cousin/best friend Aubry, since I see her on a daily basis, she has already started talking to the baby. Last night before I leave for class, the hubby and I get into a conversation about talking to the baby. I mention to him that Aubry has started talking to baby. He wants to know "what does she say to the baby?" So, I tell him "she just says things like hey baby or bye baby." Then I tell him that if you talk to the baby before it's born that it will recognize your voice when it's born.

In DW's true competitive spirit, he says "well, I don't want the baby to recognize Aubry and not me." So now every time I walk in the room he screams "hey baby." The funny part of it is that he says it in this Elvis voice. It seriously sounds like something Uncle Jessie would say on Full House. I told him that the baby was going to come out thinking it's dad was Elvis. And of course every time says it he informs me "I don't want Aubry to beat me."

I love how guys can make everything a competition.
