Big News...

It's been a week since I have last posted and a lot has been going on since then. First off, we've moved into our new house. It was an event (like moving always is). I have decided that I really don't enjoy it at all. We have had pipes break, sink handles falling off, and a little mouse problem. But I guess what can you expect from a fifty year old house that has been sitting empty for over a year. We did get a call from the owners last night to tell us that they drove by and it just felt like old times to see lights on again, so that did make us feel a little better. For some reason we have had a hard time settling in this house. I know it will come with time, but for right now everything is still just sitting in boxes waiting to be unpacked.

Of course that is not my big news...most that read my blog already know...We're having a baby!!!

I have been a few weeks late and had a feeling, but do to several disappointing negative pregnancy tests, I put off testing. I woke up early Sunday morning and decided to finally take the test. Of course, it came out positive. It was 3:45am so I sat and decided whether I should wake David to tell him. Of course after about five seconds, I decided to go and wake him. Of course, he was excited as anyone could be at that time of morning. We had talked about it and decided that we were not going to tell anyone until we went to the doctor. When I called on Monday to schedule an appointment, the next available appointment the doctor had was February 26. Tuesday night at dinner, David finally broke down and confessed he couldn't wait that long to tell someone (he sucks at secrets). I told him lets go buy another test and that if it came out positive we would tell everyone. So, obviously, it came out positive. We decided to call his mom first because she has been begging for a grandchild before we even got married. She of course screamed for a good sixty seconds. We then called my dad, who I think didn't believe us and my mom who swears she knew what we were calling for when the phone rang. We then called and text the rest of our friends and family. I just loved hearing every one's reactions. After about 10pm when the phone calls and text ended, the hubby stated "I feel better now." I guess I don't have to worry about him lying to me. He couldn't keep it a secret for two days.
