I went for my 32 week check up (on my 33rd week) and....
nothing...
Nothing exciting at least.
Which I guess is a good thing.
The only thing that sucked is that I had to wait for two hours before I got to go back. Evidently my doctor was the only one there today and she is pretty popular (either that or just slow). But, waiting for two hours when your eight months pregnant and had drank two bottles of water on the way just so you could make sure to be able to pee in the cup is painful.
I've decided that the worst part of going to the OB/GYN is peeing in the cup. I cannot seem to do it. I evidently cannot pee on cue and come to find out I'm not the only one. I have a close friend (who will remain nameless) who was told her last appointment "we'll just try to get it the next time." So, I'm glad it's not just me.
Anyways...it was just routine and nothing exciting to report. My belly is measuring 32 inches now and I was up another 7lbs. If anyone is keeping track, that means I've gained 38lbs so far. I guess I have gone over my 35lb limit, but the doctor told me I was looking good so evidently she is not too concerned over it. My blood pressure was good and Olivia's heartbeat was 140.
She did seem kinda concerned that we haven't made it to child birthing classes. I told her that the classes are only offered on Saturdays and David cannot get off work on Saturdays (which is partially true). I didn't tell her that I just really didn't want to pay the $85 to sit around and watch videos of women giving birth and that all my friends who have given birth said that the class was just a waste of time. I have actually found a educational website that shows the full on thing natural, epidural , and a c-section and watched those. She didn't seem to impressed with that. So who knows...the way I look at it is that whether I take the class or not, this baby is coming out. I've watched enough 16 & pregnant and a baby story...I don't need to pay $85 to be scared of labor (which I've heard that's all they do at the classes). Being the teacher's pet I have always been, I was kinda disappointed that she wasn't impressed with the fact I already have my bag packed and a car seat in the car. Oh well...
I go back two weeks from today and then start going every week after that. It was even kinda shocking to look at the little counter on the side of the blog and see only 49 days left. When you look at that way, it doesn't seem that far away!!!

Make that 48 days!!
lol..I'm with you on the child birthing class!
You are so right, the class was such a waste of time. I maybe learned 1 thing I didn't already know from my obsessive reading. I felt it was so necessary and convinced my hubby to do it and, after the first class (ours was 3 painful week nights), we both decided that it sucked. The only good thing about it was I met the labor and delivery nurse and was on a first name basis with her by the time I got to the hospital!
