Random Wednesday

  • First off, I have a couple of new followers that have left me some sweet comments over the last few post and I just wanted to say thank you. I keep meaning to leave y'all comments but my blogging has been off this week. Please don't think I'm being rude. Thank you for the sweet comments! I Love getting comments!
  • Monday night, while watching my husband laugh his butt off at Top Gear, my dear sweet baby girl decided to head-butt me in the pelvis. It hurt like a mo-fo! That was the first time she has actually hurt me while moving around. I told her she could stop that right then. Thankfully, she listened.
  • Evidently complaining about having nothing to do gets you out of the house. Not even five minutes after I posted on Monday, my MIL called and took me to get a pedicure and then took me to lunch. Either she read my complaining or when she saw me last week thought my feet were looking rough and knew I could no longer reach them. Either way, I'm very appreciative of it. She's the best MIL in the world!
  • Speaking of pedicures...why is that when you get a french tip it always cost $3 more? It's less polish being used...shouldn't it cost $3 less or at least the same as a regular color? It takes the lady who does my toes the same amount of time to do the french tip as it does to paint the whole nail...so why does it cost more?
  • I'm a jeans girl. Except for right now, I live in jeans. I have been searching for some little jeans for Olivia Kate. I've already got her a pair for 9 months and 12 months, but I couldn't find any for 3-6 months. I finally found some at JcPenny the other day and they are so stinkin cute. They were on sale, but I still had to pay more than I normally do for stuff for her. But I had to have them.
  • It is HOT down here! We had a unexpected cool July, but August has definitely made up for it. It is almost too unbearable to go outside. For the past week it has been in the high 90's, but once you add the humidity in, it makes feel like it's in the 100's. Pregnant or not it's to the point it's unbearable. Unfortunately, there seems to be no end to it in the next few weeks. I am so ready for Fall!!!
  • My blog is having some issues again. For some reason now when I log onto my dashboard, it says I'm not following anyone. This thing is starting to get on my nerves.

Random Wednesday

  • Yes, we did get some good news last week. Things are not back to 100%, but they have adjusted David's pay so we now have some extra to put in savings each month (and I get my weekly spending money again thank the lord!). Luckily, this is the last month we have to pay on the stupid dead Jeep and that is going to free up a couple extra hundred dollars each month also. I am planning on burning the stupid thing in our front yard when we pay it off. I've always hated that stupid car. Note to anyone...jeeps suck...don't ever buy one.
  • I didn't do a book review for July because I didn't finish anything I started to read. For some reason, I couldn't get into anything I picked up. Nicole says it's because I have too much on my mind. I started six different books and didn't finish a single one. I didn't think I should do a book review on books I never finished. But, I have finally finished one and working on my second for this month.
  • Have I mentioned I'm tired of being pregnant?
  • For some reason my days have been so off lately. I still know what day it is, it just always seems like it doesn't feel like that day. Like Sunday doesn't feel like a Sunday. Make any sense? I guess I have been out of work long enough to now be on David's strange schedule. They have eight days in their work weeks. It's crazy, I know?
  • It's now official, we have our next vacation planned for November. I'm excited because it will be Olivia's first time out-of-town. We're going to spend the weekend at my mom's to celebrate an early Thanksgiving dinner and then spend the rest of the week in the mountains with just the three of us. I can't wait!!!
  • I have been pigging out lately. Pregnant or not, I shouldn't be eating the crap I have been. I've started this week to start eating better. No I'm not doing it for weight issues, that's kinda out the door for now, but I need to start eating better in general. We were doing really good for awhile now but I think when the family came in town a couple of weeks ago, it threw us off. We have been eating out way to much lately. Plus, we are both going on a diet after the baby comes. So, I figured we can somewhat start now since we only have a few weeks till then.
  • I'm irritated with our old lady neighbors. Our yard people come every two weeks and they came last week. Both of the old lady neighbors on each side of us have decided to cut their yards on opposite weeks of us, so that makes their yards look nice and our yard look like it needs to be cut. I know you hate me Ms. Prescott....I haven't just figured out why yet.

Random Wednesdays

  • Today we were supposed to head to the pool with the Pope's, but it has ended up being a rainy day in Georgia. It has actually turned out to be nice just hanging out and being lazy together while the rain pours outside. The only downside is our yard gets cut on Wednesdays and now it will be a few days before the yard people get out here.
  • I have started getting my hospital bag ready. I have my list the hospital gave me and a experienced mom list that Kameron sent me (I will be happy to send it along if anyone needs one). I have a few other things to pick up, but it's mostly together now and sitting next to Olivia's car seat.
  • This weekend, my sister Liz asked how it feel being pregnant? One word...Uncomfortable. I am definitely at that point now that I'm tired of being pregnant. I don't want to rush her, but I'm ready for it to be over with. I now understand why women in the third trimester always look miserable...it's because they are. Plus, we are as ready as can be for her arrival, so I think that also adds to the eagerness.
  • I've started working on my thank you notes from the shower. It has made me realize that I hate writing thank you notes. I always feel like what I'm writing sounds dorky.
  • We're praying for some good news this week. Back in May, David learned that anyone in management would be taking a pay cut. Sadly, it ended up being a 35% pay cut. Luckily, for us we could still pay all our bills (with me staying home) and it just meant less money to be saved and not much money for fun stuff. There has been a big hoopla over this pay cut and last week a emergency meeting was called by the big wigs to fix this problem. We are supposed to find out the details of what the new pay will be this week. We're praying that things work out for the better.
  • Between family in town, three birthdays to celebrate, and the shower, we have done nothing but eat out for the past week. I told David that I was to the point that absolutely nothing sounds good anymore. I finally made it to the store this morning and we'll finally be eating a home cooked meal tonight.
  • I know I've said this already, but I am still overwhelmed with the generosity that was giving to us over the weekend. I could not believe how much stuff we received for Olivia Kate. We only had to pick up a few more things, but it was all covered with returned items or gift cards. We went yesterday to pick up the last few things and we even had some $ left on a gift card. That of course, will be saved for some needed things in the future. Thank you again everyone for all you did!
